In times of crisis, people step up. And that is certainly the case for all the brave, front line healthcare and emergency professionals around the world facing down the Coronavirus Pandemic—many of whom we’ve had the privilege of working with over the years as they sat for their admissions, board, and certification exams.
In addition, small business owners and employees—so vital to our local communities—have stepped up to bear the brunt of the economic shutdown caused by the virus.
Although we operate globally, uExamS is proud to be a part of the local community in the Washington, DC area. It’s where we live, shop, and raise our families. It’s important to us and we wanted to say thank you to those in our local community who are helping us face this crisis.
On Sunday, March 29, uExamS will sponsor a meal for the emergency department staff at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital in Rockville, MD. The meal will be prepared by Bombay Tandoor in Vienna, VA, which has been closed during the crisis. This month in fact marks Bombay Tandoor’s 20th anniversary in business; and we’re proud to support them in any way we can during these challenging times.
Ekta Kochar, President of uExamS said, “The importance of our emergency personnel has never been in question; but it’s in times like these that we are eternally grateful for everything they do. While we are at home, the healthcare providers are at the front lines of this pandemic, facing it head on. We can’t put into words what this means to us, but we do hope our small gesture communicates our gratitude. The entire uExamS family thanks you for your service.
In addition, a special thank you to Rani Varma and the entire staff at Bombay Tandoor for facilitating this mission and making it possible for us!“
Stay safe and healthy as we ride out this storm.
